Funeral Partners Limited was founded in 2007 by Phillip Greenfield, as he recognised the need for a well-run, high-quality group of funeral directors that would provide communities with a service that could be relied upon nationwide. This mantra is something Safe I.S. agree on wholeheartedly as we have worked over the years to develop strong foundations allowing us to offer a "local service with nationwide coverage" meaning the partnership between ourselves and Funeral Partners works seamlessly.
Funeral Partners is now the third-largest funeral service provider in the UK, with over 200 funeral homes, more than 650 employees and overseeing over 13,000 funerals annually. We have seen their business develop over the years and have been proud to help them.
Safe I.S. Ltd we're first asked to help support servicing their Fire Extinguishers in 2013 and we proudly did so for 5 years until 2018.
In 2018 unfortunately, it must be said on good parting terms, the contract was awarded to another third party on renewal. We were obviously disappointed but completely understood the decision and wished Funeral Partners the very best. We still supported them from time to time throughout the following year with various requests.
In Mid 2019 we received a phone call a little out of the blue... It was Funeral Partners who called to ask if we would be happy to help them again. Of course, the answer without any hesitation was a resounding yes.
In late 2019, a 3-year contract for the nationwide servicing for Fire Alarm, Emergency Lighting, Fire Extinguishers Maintenance & Fire Risk assessments was agreed for over 180 properties nationwide plus 20 properties for their sister company in Northern Ireland. This maintenance contract has since been renewed again, meaning we will be working together untill atleast 2025.
Ever since, we have worked tirelessly to support Funeral Partners, through what was a particularly difficult year in 2020. We have worked with them to adapt our services to suit each of the 200 properties in the portfolio ensuring our works are organised with the integrity and sensitivity required based on the use of the property.
We continue to grow our partnership, having completed 15 new installation projects, taking onboard new properties as required and working in partnership with Funeral Partners to ensure compliance across the portfolio.
