On Sunday, 20th July 2025, under a brilliant London sky, the air buzzed with an electric sense of community and purpose. The event was Goals4Gosh, a charity football match that brought a touch of starlight to the pitch, pitting a celebrity-packed team against the true champions of the day: The GOSH Heroes team. Comprised of doctors, nurses, porters, researchers, and administrators as they swapped their uniforms, for football kits and took on ex-international and Premier League players.
While the celebrities may have brought the glamour, the real stars of the show were the GOSH Heroes. Every day, these incredible individuals go above and beyond to provide world-class care to children with complex and life-threatening conditions. They are the ones on the front line, working tirelessly to make a difference in the lives of so many.
The work that goes on within the walls of Great Ormond Street Hospital is nothing short of amazing. It's a place of hope, courage, and resilience, where miracles happen every day. And it's all thanks to the dedicated team of professionals who pour their hearts and souls into their work.
For ninety minutes, cheers echoed as goals were scored and saves were made. But the real victory wasn't measured on the scoreboard. Every ticket purchased, every cheer from the crowd, and every moment of on-pitch magic translated into vital funds for Great Ormond Street Hospital, a place where hope is nurtured and miracles are a daily reality.
The event was a massive success, raising a significant amount of money for GOSH. These funds will go a long way in supporting the hospital's vital work, from funding groundbreaking research and purchasing cutting-edge medical equipment to providing life-changing support for children and their families.
